Mepilex Foam Dressing

Mepilex Self-adherent Absorbent Foam Dressing features Safetac Technology (a patented soft silicone adhesion technology). Mepilex absorbs exudate effectively, even under compression bandages, and minimizes the risk of peri-wound skin maceration and erosion. The Safetac properties allow the dressing to be changed without causing additional pain to the patient or trauma to the wound and surrounding skin. Mepilex maintains a moist wound environment for optimal wound healing. Mepilex conforms well to body contours and can be cut. Mepilex can remain in place for up to seven days depending on the wound condition. Mepilex is designed for a wide range of exuding wounds, painful wounds and wounds with compromised or fragile surrounding skin including lower extremity ulcers (venous and diabetic), and pressure ulcers
