What is the difference between xenon and AdLED lamp options?

The xenon lamp is a traditional incandescent-style bulb that produces warm, bright light. The AdLED (ADC LED) lamp is a long-life LED that closely mimics true tissue color and never needs replacement under normal use — hence the lifetime warranty on the AdLED. For most clinical settings, AdLED is the preferred choice for its longevity and consistent output.

What is the difference between the hard case and soft case?

The hard case offers more rigid protection and is better for storage or transport where the set may be jostled. The soft case is lighter (0.67 lbs vs 1.07 lbs) and slimmer — better for white coat pockets or travel bags. Add "S" to the item number (5110NS) for the soft case version.

Are the specula reusable?

No — the included Welch Allyn specula (2.75mm and 4.25mm) are disposable single-use. The set includes 5 of each size. Additional disposable specula are available separately and are compatible with the 5110N otoscope head.
