| The SIlver Pixi Stroller Pushchair is a lightweight yet stable stroller. A contoured and formed ergonomic seat has a high back with lateral supports for positioning control. This stroller is simple to use, quiet, lightweight, and easy to fold by pulling two release levers (one for safety).
The Pixi Positioning Chair has exciting new features such as a sleek silver frame, adjustable ergonomic handle, newly designed, lightweight foot brake, new fabric - durable Trevira Red - and extended seat depth models. Like the original Pixi, this model is crash tested for use on a school bus. The mesh accessories (available separately) are more breathable and add to the childs comfort. The aluminum and steel construction is perfectly suited to children ages 3-12 with cerebral palsy or other disorders that require more complex positioning. The lightweight design folds compactly for convenient storage and transportation.
Other benefits include dependable control, smooth handling, a contemporary look and ability to grow with the child. Front swivel wheels are 7" and back solid wheels measure 10". The stroller seat is a rigid plastic shell formed and assembled in two parts as a hinged seat and back. The stroller seat base remains fixed at 15 degrees incline to help keep the pelvis to the rear of the seat. The high back with lateral side-wall supports articulates for positioning and trunk control. Specifically, the stroller back reclines from 85 - 120 degrees.
The stroller seating fabric is an attractive cotton and synthetic fabric that is washable. The stroller upholstery has supportive foam cushioning sewn underneath the fabric. By adding pads or soft objects to empty spaces behind the fabric, both the stroller seat and back can be customized with ergonomic contouring.
