Preparation

• Debride when necessary and irrigate the wound site in accordance with standard protocols.
• Hydrate Prisma Matrix with saline for wounds with low or no
• exudate. Pressing on the dressing to break the surface tension may be
• needed to help facilitate hydration.

Application

• Cut or tear dressing to the size of the wound, apply directly to the wound bed.
• After hydration, through exposure to wound exudates or saline,
• Prisma matrix will turn gelatinous and become intimately in contact
• with the wound surface.
• The biodegradable Prisma matrix is naturally absorbed into the body over time.
• In order to maintain a moist wound environment, Prisma matrix must be covered with a semi-occlusive dressing.

Dressing change and removal

• May be applied daily or as per physician's recommendation.
• Frequency of reapplication depends on the level of exudates.
• It is not necessary to remove any residual Prisma matrix during dressing changes
