2-Position Lift Chairs recline and the seat raises a few inches in the front as the ottoman riser. During this process, the seat slides back to extend the stretched-out position. Most of our 2-Position Lift Chairs have a gap between the seat and the ottoman. With a 2 position lift chair, you can recline from the upright position to a 45 degree angle. It is great for watching TV!

Will Medicare pay for my chair?
Medicare stopped lift chair reimbursement in the early 90's and now will only reimburse for the chair's lift mechanism and motor. This will usually come out to be about $300. However, due to Medicare Competitive Bidding, this can only be done by a local provider that has won the bid. Also, it will require a physicians order as well as full documentation justifying the need.
