BiPAP machines deliver air at a certain pressure through a mask and tubing. When the patient exhales, the BiPAP senses a change a lowers the exhalation pressure. This machine provides a constant but variable resistance within the upper airways which prevents an airway collapse that leads to snoring and sleep apnea.
