3M Tegaderm High Gelling Alginate Dressing — Superior Conformability & High-Capacity Absorption
Advanced moisture management with a soft, protective gel touch. 3M Tegaderm High Gelling Alginate Dressing is engineered to handle high-volume wound exudate while providing an exceptionally soft interface for the wound bed. Upon contact with fluid, the high-integrity alginate fibers transform into a saturated gel that conforms perfectly to irregular wound shapes. This ensures total coverage of the wound surface, eliminating "dead space" where bacteria can thrive, and facilitating a moist environment for faster autolytic debridement.
✔ High Gelling Formula — Forms a Soft, Supportive Gel ✔ High Integrity — Lifts Cleanly Without Fragmenting ✔ Superior Conformability — Fills Cavities and Tunnels ✔ 3M Quality — Trusted Clinical Performance

Why Choose 3M Tegaderm High Gelling Alginate?
Unlike standard alginates that can feel stiff or become brittle if they dry out, 3M’s High Gelling technology ensures the dressing remains supple and moist. The strength of the gel allows for a "clean" removal; even when fully saturated, the fibers stay linked together so you don't have to spend time irrigating loose fragments out of the wound bed.
- Instant Gelling Action: Quickly pulls exudate away from the wound, protecting the periwound skin from maceration.
- Optimal Healing Environment: Supports the body's natural debridement process by keeping the wound bed hydrated without over-saturation.
- Versatile Packing: The rope and pad versions are highly flexible, making them easy to pack into deep wounds or wrap around contours like toes or heels.
- Patient Comfort: The soft gel consistency reduces pressure on sensitive nerve endings within the wound bed, making wear and removal more comfortable.
- High Integrity: Designed to maintain its shape even when saturated, ensuring it can be removed in one piece.
Application & Removal Guide
Cleanse the wound surface with sterile saline. For flat wounds, place the 3M Tegaderm Alginate pad directly on the wound bed. For deep cavity wounds or tunnels, use the Rope format, packing loosely to allow for the gel to expand as it absorbs fluid. Cover with a secondary dressing to lock in moisture. Removal: Simply lift the dressing away. If the dressing appears dry, moisten with saline before removal to protect new granulation tissue.
