Will Medicare pay for my chair?

Medicare stopped lift chair reimbursement in the early 90's and now will only reimburse for the chair's lift mechanism and motor. This will usually come out to be about $300. However, due to Medicare Competitive Bidding, this can only be done by a local provider that has won the bid. Also, it will require a physicians order as well as full documentation justifying the need.
