Silverlon Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Silver Dressing — Antimicrobial Barrier for Vacuum-Assisted Healing
Optimize your NPWT results with the ultimate antimicrobial interface. Silverlon Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Dressings are specifically engineered to be used in conjunction with any negative pressure wound suction system. While NPWT foam is excellent for managing exudate and promoting granulation, it can sometimes harbor bacteria. Silverlon acts as a powerful antimicrobial interface, providing a continuous release of ionic silver that prevents the growth of MRSA, VRE, and biofilm within the wound bed and the foam itself. This ensures the wound remains clean, protected, and optimized for rapid closure.
✔ NPWT Compatible — Use with Any Vacuum-Assisted Closure System ✔ 7-Day Biofilm Control — Prevents Bacterial Growth Under Foam ✔ Pure Silver Technology — Higher Potency Than Silver Salts ✔ Fenestrated Design — Allows Efficient Fluid Transfer to the Suction Source

The Silverlon NPWT Advantage — Enhanced Vacuum Healing
Negative pressure therapy is highly effective, but infection can stall progress. Silverlon NPWT dressings are designed with a specific pore structure that allows wound exudate to pass through freely into the suction foam without compromising the delivery of antimicrobial silver to the wound surface. By maintaining a sterile environment, Silverlon helps reduce the risk of secondary infections that often occur during extended NPWT cycles.
- Continuous Antimicrobial Action: Sustained release of silver ions provides a broad-spectrum kill for up to 7 days, reducing the need for frequent dressing changes.
- Biofilm Prevention: Actively disrupts biofilm formation, a common barrier to healing in chronic wounds under vacuum systems.
- Atraumatic Interface: The silver-plated surface is low-adherent, preventing the NPWT foam from growing into the granulation tissue, which makes dressing changes less painful.
- Pure Silver Potency: Provides a much larger surface area of active silver compared to traditional silver-impregnated dressings, ensuring a more robust antimicrobial barrier.
- Easy Customization: The dressing can be easily cut to fit the specific contours of the wound or stacked for deeper cavity defects.
Application & Removal Guide
Cleanse the wound site. Place the Silverlon NPWT dressing directly onto the wound bed, ensuring it makes full contact with the wound surface. Place the NPWT foam or gauze over the Silverlon layer and apply the adhesive drape and suction as per the manufacturer's instructions. Removal: When the NPWT cycle is complete, turn off the vacuum and remove the drape/foam. The Silverlon interface should lift easily from the wound bed.
