Application Instructions

Method 1 — Apply to the Barrier Wafer

1. Remove the backing from the skin barrier
2. Apply a small bead of Adapt Paste at the inner edge of the skin barrier — next to the stoma opening — on the adhesive side of the wafer
3. You may let it sit briefly while you remove your used pouch and prepare your skin
4. Apply additional paste to uneven areas near the stoma opening if needed
5. Place the barrier over the stoma and press firmly from the stoma outward with palm pressure

Method 2 — Apply to Skin

1. Clean and dry peristomal skin thoroughly
2. Apply a thin bead of Adapt Paste directly into skin folds, creases, or uneven areas around the stoma
3. Allow to set briefly, then apply the skin barrier over the paste with firm palm pressure

Removal: Adapt Paste typically lifts off when the ostomy pouch is removed. If residue remains after a short-wear change, gently lift it from the skin — do not scrub. If the residue is clean and not causing irritation, a new barrier can be applied over it.
