Advantage Close Fit Male Urinal System
SKU: MTG008
Contracted/Retracted Anatomy Design | Polyethylene Urinal Body | Replaceable Reservoir Bag | Easy Twist Connector | 36" Kink-Resistant Tubing | Anti-Reflux Valve | For Continent Men | 60-Day Guarantee | FSA Eligible | Latex Free
The contracted-anatomy version of the Advantage urinal line. While the Advantage Comfort System (CM008) uses a foam comfort ring designed for standard anatomy, the Close Fit is specifically engineered for men whose contracted or retracted anatomy prevents a reliable seal with the standard ring design. The polyethylene urinal body provides a closer, more secure fit. Urine drains through kink-resistant 36" tubing into a replaceable reservoir bag hanging from the bed frame. The Easy Twist Connector allows the bag to be replaced independently without changing the full system. Anti-reflux valve prevents backflow. Designed for continent men who urinate when the urge arises — not for incontinent use. 60-day guarantee. Replace system every 4–6 months. FSA eligible. Latex free.

System Components
- A — Heavy-duty 36" tube: kink-resistant tubing carrying urine from urinal to reservoir bag; longer than the Comfort System's hose for flexible bed positioning
- B — Easy Twist Connector: quick-release twist fitting connecting the tube to the reservoir bag; allows the bag to be replaced independently without changing the full system
- C — Polyethylene urinal: rigid urinal body designed for a close, secure fit for contracted or retracted anatomy; placed over the penis during voiding
- D — Comfort ring: germ-resistant closed-cell foam ring that seals around the urinal opening against the body; non-absorbent and non-porous
- E — Anti-reflux valve: one-way valve preventing collected urine from flowing back through the tube toward the urinal
- F — Replaceable reservoir bag: large-capacity collection bag hanging from the bed frame; can be replaced independently via the Easy Twist Connector when worn or damaged
- G — Drain valve: outlet valve on the reservoir bag for morning emptying; slide the blue tube to release
Key Features
- Designed for contracted or retracted anatomy — the polyethylene urinal body achieves a closer fit where the foam comfort ring of the Comfort System (CM008) cannot create a reliable seal
- For continent men — designed for use when the urge to urinate arises; not for incontinent patients who void without awareness or control
- Replaceable reservoir bag via Easy Twist Connector — replace the bag independently when needed without replacing the entire system; reduces ongoing cost
- 36" kink-resistant tubing — longer than the Comfort System hose; provides more positioning flexibility from urinal to bed-mounted bag
- Anti-reflux valve — prevents backflow of collected urine toward the urinal
- Bed-frame hanger clip — collection bag hangs from the bed frame; large capacity handles multiple overnight voidings without emptying until morning
- Easy to clean — rinse soapy water or disinfectant through the full system; rinse with clean water and drain
- 60-day guarantee | Replace system every 4–6 months
- Optional privacy/travel tote available separately (not included)
- FSA eligible | Latex free | Non-returnable hygiene product
Clinical FAQs
What is "contracted anatomy" and why does this system address it differently than the Comfort System?
Penile retraction or contraction refers to anatomical conditions where the penis retracts significantly toward the body — making it shorter, smaller in diameter, or less accessible than standard adult anatomy. This can occur due to age-related tissue changes, significant weight gain, post-surgical anatomy, neurological conditions affecting penile musculature, or other causes. The Advantage Comfort System (CM008) uses a foam comfort ring that seals against the body around the penile base — this design relies on having enough external penile length to maintain contact with the ring and create a reliable fluid seal. When the penis retracts fully or nearly flush with the body, the comfort ring cannot maintain that seal, and the system leaks. The Close Fit's polyethylene urinal body is shaped and sized to fit closer to the body, achieving a seal in lower-profile anatomical configurations where the foam ring design fails. A continence nurse or urology specialist can advise which system is appropriate based on individual anatomy.
What does "designed for continent men who know when to urinate" mean?
This is the most important selection criterion on this page. A continent man retains the ability to sense when his bladder is full and to choose when to void — the urge signal is intact, and he can either act on it or delay it. An incontinent man voids involuntarily without full awareness or control. The Close Fit system is designed to be placed in position when the urge arises and removed after voiding — it is not intended to be worn in position all the time waiting for involuntary voiding. For incontinent patients who need a system that captures urine as it is produced without requiring placement each time, the Comfort System (CM008) in the ready position, an external catheter connected to a drainage bag, or a Foley catheter are the appropriate alternatives. Using the Close Fit as a passive incontinent collection system is not its designed use and will result in leakage and unreliable performance.
How does the replaceable reservoir bag work and when should it be replaced?
The reservoir bag connects to the drain tube via the Easy Twist Connector — a quarter-turn fitting that locks and releases the bag without tools. When the bag becomes cloudy, develops persistent odor that washing cannot clear, shows signs of material degradation, or leaks from the bag walls, the bag alone can be replaced by twisting it off and twisting a new bag onto the connector. The rest of the system (tube, urinal, comfort ring, connector) continues in service. This is more economical than replacing the full system each time the bag wears out. The full system should still be replaced every 4–6 months regardless of bag condition, as the tubing, comfort ring, and connector also degrade over time. Replacement reservoir bags are available separately — contact our team to confirm compatibility with MTG008.
