Every other ADA compliant pool lift requires permanent anchor installation — a fixed bolted connection to the pool deck. Once installed, it stays. Moving it requires removing the anchor hardware and re-drilling for a new installation. For facilities where the pool deck is also used for events, classes, or other activities that require the lift to be out of the way, a permanently anchored lift creates a real problem.

The Mighty Voyager solves this with a sand ballast system. Instead of a bolted anchor providing stability, hundreds of pounds of sand inside the base provide the counterbalance weight that allows the lift to safely support 325 lbs of user weight. When the session is done, the lift rolls away from the poolside on its 6" rubber casters — no tools, no removal, no hardware. Roll it to storage. Roll it back when needed.

The ADA Fixing Kit is included for situations where ADA compliance requires the lift to be mechanically affixed to the pool deck — US Federal ADA requirements specify that pool lifts must be affixed; the included fixing anchor satisfies this requirement when installed. The Sand Ballast System — How It Works

The ballast housing at the base of the Mighty Voyager has a 15-inch square opening for filling. When you receive the lift, the housing is empty — sand is purchased separately at any pool supply store, hardware store, or home improvement store. Fill the housing with sand (or pea gravel — any dense, stable material) until the ballast counterbalance weight is achieved per Aqua Creek's specifications. The system works as follows:

• The filled ballast housing provides counterbalance — the same physics as a permanent anchor, achieved through mass rather than mechanical fastening
• Filling is easy — the 15" square opening accommodates a standard bucket or small shovel; no specialized equipment needed
• Emptying is easy too — if the lift needs to be moved long-distance or transported, sand can be removed with a vacuum or bucket through the same opening
• Cost-effective shipping — shipping without sand significantly reduces shipping weight and cost; the sand is cheaper and easier to source locally than it is to ship cross-country

255-Degree Whisper-Quiet Rotation

Unlike the Ranger 2's non-rotational single out-and-down motion, the Mighty Voyager uses a 255-degree rotation arm. The user transfers onto the seat while it is positioned over the pool deck, and the arm rotates to position the user over the water before lowering. The motor operates at whisper-quiet levels appropriate for residential and commercial pool environments. An Emergency Button on the control box provides immediate stop capability at any point in the rotation or descent.
