Why Impregnated Gauze — Hydrogel Plus Structure

Standard hydrogel gels are excellent at donating moisture but have no structural integrity — they can't pack a wound, hold a shape, or fill a wound cavity consistently. Standard dry gauze can pack and fill but causes wound bed disruption and pain on removal if it dries and adheres. Aquasite Impregnated Gauze gives you both — the rehydrating and debridement-supporting properties of Aquasite hydrogel delivered through a gauze matrix that can conform to and pack full-thickness wounds, maintain sterile moist contact with the entire wound bed, and be changed without trauma to healing tissue. It's the preferred format when a wound needs moisture and structure at the same time.

  • Aquasite hydrogel rehydrates dry, necrotic, and sloughy wound tissue on contact
  • Supports autolytic debridement — softens and loosens devitalized tissue naturally
  • Cotton gauze structure conforms to wound shape and packs full-thickness wounds and cavities
  • Maintains consistent moist contact with the entire wound bed — no dry patches or gaps
  • Sterile individually packaged — infection control friendly for home care and clinical settings
  • Latex-free — safe for latex-sensitive patients
  • Does not contain natural rubber latex

Choosing the Right Size

  • 2" x 2" Pad — Smaller wounds, post-surgical sites, superficial pressure ulcers, minor burns, cuts, and abrasions. Can be folded for light wound packing
  • 4" x 4" Pad — Standard for most pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, and full-thickness wounds requiring broader coverage or more substantial packing. Can be folded or layered as needed

Aquasite Impregnated Gauze vs. Aquasite Hydrogel Gel — Which Is Right?

  • Aquasite Impregnated Gauze (this product) — When wound structure matters. Best for full-thickness wounds, cavity wounds, and wounds requiring sterile packing. Gauze delivers hydrogel throughout the wound depth
  • Aquasite Hydrogel Gel — When wound surface coverage is the priority. Applied directly from the tube for flat or shallow wounds, post-surgical sites, and skin conditions. More versatile for irregular surface coverage
