The BestCare BestLift PL182 Full Body Electric Patient Lift is a battery-powered electric floor lift rated for 400 lbs — the fully electric alternative to manual hydraulic lifts for home care and facility use. Where a hydraulic lift requires the caregiver to pump a handle for every inch of lift travel, the PL182 raises and lowers the patient at the touch of a button on the hand pendant. How the PL182 Works

Sling and check
Position patient in compatible sling. Attach loops to the 6-point spreader bar. Check LCD battery indicator — confirm sufficient charge before beginning the transfer.

Open base and position
Open base from 24.9" to 42.9" — straddles wheelchair, bed frame, or toilet. 4.5" base clearance fits under most standard beds. Roll into transfer position.

Raise with pendant
Press UP on the hand pendant — the 24V electric actuator raises patient smoothly. LCD overload warning activates if patient weight exceeds 400 lbs. Rotate to destination.

Lower to destination
Press DOWN to lower patient into bed, chair, wheelchair, or toilet. 69.1" max clears standard residential bed heights. Remove sling once patient is fully supported.
The Adjustable Base
Closed — 24.9" Wide
Close the base for doorway navigation and corridor movement between rooms. At 24.9", the PL182 fits through any standard interior doorway. Close before wheeling the lift from room to room.
Open — 42.9" Wide
Open to 42.9" for transfers — the base spans a standard wheelchair, bed frame legs, or toilet. Lock in the open position before initiating any transfer. The dual front castors maintain stability across the full open width.

LCD Panel — Battery Status and Overload Warning
The power control unit's LCD display shows real-time battery charge level — the caregiver knows the charge state before every transfer, not after a mid-transfer failure. The overload warning activates before the lift begins if the patient weight exceeds 400 lbs, preventing an unsafe attempt rather than failing during it.
6-Point Spreader Bar
The 6-point spreader bar distributes patient weight evenly across six attachment points — reducing sling stress at each connection and providing more even patient positioning than 4-point alternatives. Compatible with 4-point and 6-point loop-style slings.
Dual Front Castors
The PL182 features dual front castors — two castors on each front leg rather than one. The wider front contact patch provides additional stability during the transfer arc when the patient's weight shifts forward over the base. Rear castors are 4" with brakes.
24V 5AH Battery — Single Pack
The 24V 5AH battery provides sufficient charge for multiple daily transfers on a single charge cycle. Battery charge is shown continuously on the LCD — no guessing. Recharge after each use to maintain full capacity for the next transfer session.
Power Control Unit — Integrated
The power control unit is integrated into the lift frame — not a separate component to track or store. It houses the LCD display, controls the actuator, and manages the overload protection system. The hand pendant connects to the control unit and hangs within reach of the caregiver during the transfer.
