Use in therapy mode (switch up, 10,000 LUX) for 20–30 minutes each morning, within one hour of waking. Position the lamp so it projects light downward from above, with your face approximately 12–14" from the screen. You do not need to stare into the lamp — reading, eating, or working normally during the session is fine. Do not use the therapy setting late in the day as it can interfere with your sleep-wake cycle. Use task mode (switch down, 5,000 LUX) for general desk or ambient lighting at any time.
