Important: The ActiveLife Stoma Cap is designed for colostomy patients only — specifically those who irrigate or experience natural periods of stomal inactivity. It is not appropriate for ileostomy patients (liquid, continuous output requires a drainable pouch at all times) or urostomy patients (continuous urine output requires a dedicated urostomy pouch). Stoma caps provide minimal capacity and are not a substitute for a standard pouching system during active output periods.

Sizing & Application

1. Measure your stoma at its widest point using a stoma sizing guide
2. Cut the skin barrier opening to match your stoma — cut 1/8 inch larger than the stoma measurement for a comfortable fit that protects peristomal skin without pressing against the stoma
3. Remove the backing paper from the Stomahesive barrier
4. Center the opening over the stoma and press firmly from the stoma outward, eliminating air pockets and ensuring full skin contact
5. Hold with warm palm pressure for 30–60 seconds to activate the barrier adhesion
6. Replace when the barrier begins to lift, when the filter is saturated, or when stoma activity is expected
