Cool and comfortable on application, it will not dry out or adhere to wound tissue during wear, making removal atraumatic and dressing changes far less painful. KerraLite Cool's pro-ionic hydrogel contact layer is engineered to go beyond standard hydrogel sheet technology. The pro-ionic formulation enhances the gel's interactions with wound fluids — allowing it to intelligently donate moisture to dry areas or absorb light exudate from wetter areas, maintaining optimal moisture balance throughout the wear period. The overlying fluid-repellent polyurethane film is impermeable to bacteria and external contaminants, creating a physical barrier that protects the wound bed throughout wear, while remaining fully breathable for moisture vapor exchange. The result is a dressing that actively soothes, debrides, and protects — without drying out, without sticking, and without disrupting fragile healing tissue on removal.

Non-Adhesive vs. Adhesive Border — Which Is Right?
- Non-Adhesive (CWL1004, CWL1005, CWL1006) — No border adhesive. Can be cut to fit the exact wound size and shape. Requires tape or a secondary cover dressing to secure in place. Best for irregularly shaped wounds, wounds near joints, or sensitive periwound skin where adhesive borders may cause trauma
- Adhesive Border (CWL1007, CWL1008, CWL1009) — Pre-applied adhesive border secures the dressing without tape. Best for wounds where simplicity of application is a priority or where tape adhesion to surrounding skin is not a concern. No cutting or secondary fixation required
