The Span America PressureGuard Custom Care Convertible LAL pressure redistribution surface is specifically designed to assist healthcare professionals in providing care across flat deck frame facilities. This custom care convertible low-air-loss surface incorporates Span-Americas innovative low-air-loss therapy, which effectively manages moisture to prevent maceration. Its exceptional ability to eliminate excess moisture in the microclimate has been recognized in a leading wound care journal.Featuring Span-America's unique Low-air-loss technology, the PressureGuard Custom Care Convertible LAL air delivery system includes a non-collapsible "Air Diffusion Matrix." This design enhances the removal of moisture from the skin without the drawbacks commonly associated with standard low air loss surfaces. Moisture evaporates through the coverlet, and the continuous airflow within the "Air Diffusion Matrix" ensures it is carried away before it can condense back into liquid form. The Custom Care Convertible models can easily transform into a powered surface by adding a control unit.
The Custom Care Convertible can be paired with the 8400 powered control unit, which provides immediate capabilities for alternating pressure and lateral rotation, enhancing treatment options. This model is Medicare approved under E0373 (Group II) without the control unit and E0277 (Group II) with the control unit. Additionally, all PressureGuard models comply with NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code) standards for flammability.
