EZee Life 190 18" Attendant Shower & Commode Chair w/ Tilt Seat
/
The Healthline EZee Life 190 is the tilt version of the EZee Life aluminum attendant shower commode line. The 18" seat tilts from 0° to 20° as a unit — seat and backrest move together — which repositions the user without changing the hip angle, redistributes pressure during extended shower time, and gives a caregiver significantly better access for perineal hygiene care. An adjustable headrest handles users with limited neck control. Everything else on the chair — flip-back arms, swing-away footrests, tool-free height adjustment, sealed foam seat with removable insert — is the same solid EZee Life aluminum platform.
Supports up to 300 lbs. Seat height adjusts from 21.25" to 24.5" across four settings, covering standard and comfort-height toilets. The optional 4-way seat (model 190-4W) allows the seat opening to face in any direction for perineal access from any angle. A self-propelled version with 24" rear wheels (model 190-24) is available for independent users. Four 5" locking casters on the standard attendant version. Overall width 22" on the caster model — fits most standard residential doorways. Two-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the tilt function actually do for the user?
The seat and back tilt together as a unit from 0° to 20°, keeping the hip angle constant while reclining the user's position relative to the floor. This is tilt-in-space — not recline, where the back opens away from the seat. Tilt serves three practical purposes: it redistributes pressure away from the sitting bones during extended shower time, it opens up the perineal area for easier hygiene care from a caregiver, and it provides passive trunk stability for users who can't actively maintain an upright position. If none of those apply to your situation, the non-tilt EZee Life 180/185 is a simpler option at a lower price point.
What is the 4-way seat option?
The standard seat has the hygiene cutout in a fixed position. The optional 4-way seat (model 190-4W) can be mounted with the opening facing front, rear, or either side — giving the caregiver access from any direction. This is particularly useful when the bathroom layout limits which side a caregiver can work from, or when the user's positioning needs require a specific access angle. Call us to confirm availability on the 4-way configuration.
How does the tilt compare to the Etac Swift Mobil Tilt 2?
The Etac Swift Mobil Tilt 2 tilts -5° to +35° and is designed specifically for clinical and heavy home use with more dimensional adjustability. The EZee Life 190 tilts 0–20° and is a solid mid-range tilt option at a lower price point. For basic tilt function in a home setting, the 190 is a practical choice. For more complex positioning needs or intensive daily use, the Etac or ActiveAid 285 are worth considering. Call us to compare.
Is the headrest adjustable?
Yes — the headrest adjusts in four directions (height, depth, lateral, and angle) to support a range of head and neck positions.
Will it roll over my toilet?
Seat height adjusts from 21.25" to 24.5" across four settings, providing clearance for standard and comfort-height toilets. The 22" overall width fits around most residential toilet bowls. Measure your toilet seat height before ordering.
Is a self-propelled version available?
Yes — model 190-24 has 24" rear wheels with quick-release axles for self-propulsion. Call us for availability and pricing.
