Features & Benefits
- Charcoal Color — Complete Visual Discretion — Used ostomy pouches contain waste that is visible through clear or light-colored disposal bags — an uncomfortable reality for patients who change pouches in shared bathrooms, at work, or while traveling. The opaque charcoal color of Entrust Disposal Bags conceals contents entirely from the moment the pouch is placed inside. The bag can be transported to any waste bin or carried out of a restroom without revealing what is inside — a small but meaningful quality-of-life detail that most patients who have struggled with clear disposal bags immediately appreciate.
- Zip-Close Seal — Odor Contained at the Source — The secure zip-close seal is the most important functional feature of a disposal bag — it determines whether the sealed bag remains odor-contained in the time between closure and final disposal. The zip seal on Entrust bags locks closed with a single motion and holds, preventing odor from escaping through an inadequate twist or fold closure. For patients who change pouches away from home and need to carry the sealed bag to a trash receptacle, the zip seal provides confidence that the bag will stay closed and odor-free during transport.
- Leak-Proof — No Seepage During Handling — The bag material is constructed to prevent liquid seepage through the bag wall. This is relevant when disposing of drainable pouches that retain residual output — the leak-proof construction ensures that handling and transporting the sealed bag does not result in contamination on hands, bathroom surfaces, or clothing.
- 8" x 8" — Fits All Standard Pouches — The 8" x 8" size accommodates all standard one-piece and two-piece ostomy pouches from Hollister, ConvaTec, Coloplast, and all other major manufacturers — including extended-wear drainable pouches and urostomy bags. No folding or forcing required for standard pouches.
- 60-Count Pack — Practical Supply — With an average of one to two pouch changes per day, a 60-count pack provides approximately one to two months of supply for most patients. The pack format is easy to store in a bathroom cabinet or ostomy supply kit, and individual bags are compact enough to carry a few in a pocket, travel bag, or supply case for changes away from home.
- Latex-Free — Not made with natural rubber latex — safe for patients and caregivers with latex sensitivity or allergy.
How to Use Entrust Ostomy Pouch Disposal Bags
- Before removing your ostomy pouch, have a disposal bag open and ready.
- If using a drainable pouch, empty the pouch contents first before removal. If using a closed-end pouch, it can go directly into the disposal bag.
- Remove the ostomy pouch from the skin barrier. Place it directly into the disposal bag.
- If changing the full system, the used skin barrier wafer can also go into the same bag.
- Zip the bag closed with one firm motion across the seal. Confirm the seal is fully closed end to end.
- Dispose of the sealed bag in any standard waste receptacle. Ostomy disposal bags are not flushable — do not dispose of in toilets.
Tip: Keep a few individual bags in your ostomy travel kit, purse, or work bag for pouch changes away from home. They fold flat and take up minimal space.
