The Harmar AL105L Lightweight Swing-Away Bracket is the lighter version of Harmar's swing-away option — at just 25 lbs it is 13 lbs lighter than the standard AL105, making it easier to operate for users who pivot their lift frequently. It attaches between your Harmar outside lift and the vehicle's 2" hitch receiver and allows the entire loaded lift to swing aside with a single latch release, providing clear access to the trunk, liftgate, or tailgate without removing the lift or the device. Compatible with all standard Harmar outside lifts. Not compatible with HD models (AL300HD, AL301XLHD, AL500HD, AL580-HDX, AL425HD).
What it does: When your outside lift is unloaded and folded, release the latch and gently pivot the entire lift to the side — your trunk, liftgate, or tailgate is now fully accessible. Re-engage the latch to lock it back into travel position. The I-beam construction keeps the bracket rigid and stable during both the pivot and transit.

Common questions: Do I need a hitch adapter? The AL105L fits a 2" hitch receiver — a hitch adapter is not included and must be ordered separately if needed for your hitch. Will this add length behind my vehicle? Adding a swing-away typically adds approximately 2" to the folded profile. Is it easy to operate solo? Yes — the latch is designed for single-hand operation.
