Description
The Harmar AL6000 Ultimate Inside Platform Lift is a hybrid platform lift that combines the ease of platform loading with full inside-vehicle storage — the platform extends outward on aluminum rails beyond the vehicle's bumper, lowers to ground level so the user can drive their power chair or scooter directly on, and then the entire platform slides back into the cargo area for transit. The device is stored completely inside the vehicle: protected from weather, road debris, and theft, with the backup camera fully unobstructed. At only 32" of required cargo headroom and 43" of depth, it is the most compact inside platform lift on the market. The AL6000 requires a minimum of 32" of cargo headroom and 43" of depth behind the rear seat position. It mounts to existing 3rd-row seat hardware — vehicles without 3rd-row seat mounting points may require additional hardware. Compatible with most minivans, SUVs, and vans — not designed for trucks or sedans. For devices over 350 lbs, the AL6000HD (400 lb, with padded hold-down arm) is the appropriate choice. The AL6000's mechanism is distinct from both standard hoist lifts and exterior platform lifts. At the press of a button the platform slides outward on aluminum rails and lowers to ground level — the user drives their power chair or scooter directly onto the platform using their joystick. Press the button again and the platform rises and slides back into the cargo area, storing the device completely inside the vehicle.
