The Transcend Micro™ Auto CPAP is the world's smallest and lightest auto-adjusting travel CPAP machine — 0.48 lb and 3.6"×3.6"×2.4", smaller than a soda can and light enough to carry in a jacket pocket. Auto-adjusting APAP mode and fixed CPAP mode, GentleRise ramp, AirRelief exhalation pressure relief, SleepStart auto on/off, 30-minute Drying Mode, and whisper-quiet 27 dB operation with the included WhisperSoft muffler. Compatible with all 22mm standard CPAP masks and with AirMist waterless HME humidification (sold separately). Includes AirFlex 6ft hose, PureFresh black foam filter, AC power adapter, WhisperSoft muffler, and quick guide. MySleepDash Bluetooth app for compliance tracking. FAA compliant. 2-year warranty. Prescription required. HCPCS E0601.

Note: If you want the newer 2026 version with dual filters, hard shell case, AirMist HME included as standard, 3-year warranty, and 4 color options, see the Transcend Micro 510.

What Defines This Machine

World's Smallest Form Factor At 0.48 lb and 3.6"×3.6"×2.4" — about the size of a large grapefruit cut in half — the Transcend Micro is genuinely pocket-sized and weighs less than a can of soda. It is 32% smaller and 26% lighter than other travel CPAP brands. It fits in virtually any carry-on, bag, purse, or backpack side pocket without meaningful space sacrifice, and passes TSA screening without removal from the bag.
Auto-Adjusting APAP + Fixed CPAP Switchable between Auto CPAP (APAP) and fixed CPAP modes. In APAP mode, the machine monitors breathing continuously and adjusts delivery pressure breath-by-breath — providing only as much pressure as needed at any moment. In fixed CPAP mode, it delivers a constant prescribed pressure throughout the night. GentleRise ramp starts at a lower pressure and builds gradually. AirRelief exhalation pressure relief reduces pressure on the exhale for added comfort.
27 dB Whisper-Quiet With Muffler At 27 dB with the included WhisperSoft muffler attached, the Transcend Micro operates at near-whisper volume — quieter than most bedroom background noise. Built-in sound and vibration dampening within the machine chassis contributes to the quiet operation even before the muffler is added. For shared hotel rooms, cabins, or tent camping where machine noise is a concern, the Micro's noise profile is a meaningful advantage over louder travel machines.
Universal 22mm Mask Compatibility Works with all CPAP masks with a standard 22mm connection — the industry universal standard — without any adapter required. This means you can use the mask you already own and are already comfortable with. No proprietary mask system to learn or purchase. The only exception is AirMini setup pack masks, which use a ResMed-proprietary connection and are not compatible.
MySleepDash App — Compliance & Data Connects via Bluetooth to the free MySleepDash app (iOS and Android) for therapy data including usage hours, AHI, leak summaries, and compliance reports at 24-hour, 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day intervals. Reports can be shared directly from the app to your physician or sleep specialist. In-app comfort setting adjustments (ramp, exhalation relief) available without a PC. Advanced clinical settings require the free Transcend MiniCPAP Desktop Software (Windows only).
SleepStart, Drying Mode & Versatile Power SleepStart auto on/off starts therapy when you breathe in and stops when you remove your mask — no button needed each night. A 30-minute Drying Mode runs the machine after therapy to clear moisture from the air path. Auto altitude adjustment up to 8,000 feet without manual correction. Runs on the included AC adapter for home or hotel use. Optional PowerAway Battery (sold separately) provides up to 17.5 hours of off-grid use for camping, flights without power outlets, and backup power.
Transcend Micro vs. Transcend Micro 510 — key differences. The original Micro includes a single PureFresh black foam filter, AirFlex hose, and no hard shell case. AirMist HME waterless humidification is compatible but sold separately. Warranty is 2 years. One color only (Graphite Gray). The newer Micro 510 (2026) adds dual filters (woven + hypoallergenic), redesigned TransFlex hose, AirMist HME starter kit included as standard, hard shell travel case included, 3-year warranty, and 4 color options. The two machines use different filters — PureFresh filters from the original Micro are not compatible with the Micro 510, and vice versa. If you're starting fresh and want the latest version, the 510 is the better value. The original Micro is the right choice if you already own accessories (PowerAway Battery, spare filters) compatible with this generation.

AirMist HME Waterless Humidification — Compatible, Sold Separately

How It Works

The AirMist Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME) adds waterless humidification by capturing moisture from your exhaled breath and recycling it back into the incoming therapy air — no water tank, no distilled water to carry, no spill risk. The HME attaches between the mask connection and the hose. Each AirMist cartridge must be replaced every 7 days after opening, regardless of nightly use frequency.

Mask Compatibility for AirMist

AirMist works best with masks that connect directly to tubing in front of the face (full face and standard nasal masks). It does not work effectively with overhead-tube masks (AirFit P30i, DreamWear) or short front-tube masks (AirFit P10, AirFit F40). If you use one of these mask types, waterless humidification will not deliver meaningful benefit. For users with very sensitive airways in dry climates who use an overhead-tube mask, a full-size machine with heated humidification may be more appropriate for regular home use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription to buy the Transcend Micro?

Yes — the Transcend Micro is an FDA Class II medical device (HCPCS E0601) and requires a valid prescription from a licensed physician before it can be shipped. You can upload your prescription during checkout, provide your doctor's contact information and their team will contact the doctor directly, or email your prescription after ordering. If you need a prescription renewal, Transcend can assist with that process.

What is the difference between this Micro and the Micro 510?

The original Transcend Micro (this product) and the newer Micro 510 (2026) share the same form factor, weight, and core therapy features. The Micro 510 adds: dual filters (woven and hypoallergenic, vs. the single PureFresh black foam filter here); a redesigned TransFlex hose (vs. AirFlex here); AirMist HME starter kit included as standard (sold separately for this machine); a hard shell travel case included (not included here); an extended 3-year warranty (vs. 2 years here); and three additional color options (Petal Pink, Midnight Blue, Birch White). The two generations use different, incompatible filters. If you already own the original Micro and have spare PureFresh filters or accessories, stay with this generation. If you're starting fresh, the 510 provides better included value.

Can I use the Transcend Micro as my primary home CPAP, not just for travel?

Yes — the Transcend Micro is fully capable of home use as a primary CPAP machine. It provides the same therapeutic performance as a full-size machine. Many users choose it as their only CPAP rather than maintaining separate home and travel machines. The main considerations for full-time home use are: it does not have a built-in heated humidifier (AirMist HME is available but works differently from a heated chamber), and the companion app and desktop software provide therapy data rather than the cloud-connected compliance reporting that some home machines and insurance programs require. If your insurance or sleep clinic requires cloud compliance data from a specific platform (like ResMed myAir or Philips DreamMapper), confirm compatibility before switching entirely.

Can I use this machine on an airplane?

Yes — the Transcend Micro is FAA compliant and cleared for carry-on and in-flight use on domestic and international flights. It does not need to be powered off during flight. For flights without seat power, the optional PowerAway Battery provides up to 17.5 hours of operation per charge — enough for extended international routes. Confirm CPAP in-flight policy with your specific airline before traveling, as some carriers require advance notification.

Does the Transcend Micro include a humidifier?

No — the Transcend Micro does not include a heated humidifier or built-in water chamber. It is compatible with the optional AirMist HME waterless humidification system (sold separately), which adds moisture by recycling exhaled breath humidity. AirMist works best with standard full face and nasal masks with front-of-face tubing connections. It is not effective with overhead-tube masks or short front-tube pillow masks. For users who require significant humidification due to dry airways or sensitive tissues, a full-size machine with a heated passover humidifier may be preferable for regular home use.

What is the PowerAway Battery and is it included?

The PowerAway Battery is an optional accessory sold separately that provides up to 17.5 hours of CPAP therapy per charge — approximately two full nights of use — without AC power. It is one of the smallest and lightest CPAP batteries available, weighing 1.0 lb, and is specifically designed to work with the Transcend Micro. It is ideal for camping, flights without seat power, power outages, or as a backup power source at home. It is not included with the machine and must be purchased separately.

How do I access and adjust my therapy settings?

Basic comfort settings — ramp time, ramp start pressure, and AirRelief exhalation relief intensity — can be adjusted through the MySleepDash app after enabling Bluetooth on the machine. Advanced clinical settings (pressure range limits, switching between APAP and fixed CPAP mode, maximum pressure adjustments) require the free Transcend MiniCPAP Desktop Software, which is Windows-only. If you use a Mac and need to adjust clinical settings, contact your prescribing physician or sleep clinic to make the adjustments for you.

Is the Transcend Micro FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes — CPAP machines are eligible for FSA and HSA reimbursement. Save your receipt and submit to your benefits administrator. CPAP therapy accessories (masks, hose, filters, AirMist HME) are also typically FSA/HSA eligible — confirm with your plan administrator for specific item eligibility.
