McKesson Sterile Hydrogel Sheet Dressing — Non-Cytotoxic, Latex-Free, 2 Sizes
A clean, reliable sterile hydrogel sheet for moist wound healing and autolytic debridement — in two standard sizes. McKesson's Sterile Hydrogel Sheet Dressings are individually wrapped, single-use primary dressings designed to create and maintain the moist wound environment essential for healing and autolytic debridement. Each flexible blue sheet conforms to the wound surface, delivers consistent hydration to dry or minimally exuding wounds, and is formulated to be non-cytotoxic — safe for use on healing tissue. Rounded edges make for easy, accurate placement, and the sterile individual packaging protects each dressing in storage until the moment of use.
✔ Sterile & Individually Wrapped — Single Use ✔ Non-Cytotoxic Formula — Safe on Healing Tissue ✔ Supports Autolytic Debridement ✔ Not Made with Natural Rubber Latex ✔ Available in 2×2 and 4×4 Inch Sizes

Indicated For — Wound Types
- Dry to minimally exuding wounds requiring moisture donation
- Pressure ulcers / pressure injuries requiring moist wound environment
- First and second degree burns
- Superficial wounds, abrasions, and skin tears
- Radiation-damaged skin and desquamation
- Necrotic wounds requiring autolytic debridement
- Surgical wounds and donor sites with low exudate
Note: McKesson Hydrogel Sheet Dressings are designed for wounds with light or no exudate. For heavily draining wounds, a more absorbent dressing format is recommended. Consult a healthcare professional for guidance on dressing selection.
How McKesson Hydrogel Sheets Work
Hydrogel sheet dressings function by donating moisture directly to the wound bed. The water-rich gel matrix rehydrates dry and necrotic tissue, which allows the body's own enzymes to soften and separate nonviable tissue from the wound bed — a process known as autolytic debridement — without the need for sharp or mechanical debridement. The sheet format provides even, consistent moisture coverage across the entire wound surface, while the non-adherent design minimizes disruption to newly forming tissue at dressing changes.
- Donates moisture to dry and necrotic tissue — initiates and supports autolytic debridement
- Flexible gel conforms to irregular wound surfaces for uniform coverage
- Non-adherent to wound tissue — reduces trauma and pain at dressing changes
- Creates cooling sensation on application — provides comfort especially on burn wounds
- Non-cytotoxic — does not harm viable wound tissue or impede healing
- Rounded corners reduce edge lift and improve dressing stability under secondary cover
McKesson Hydrogel Sheet vs. Amorphous Hydrogel Gel — Which to Choose?
| Hydrogel Sheet (61-82022 / 61-82044) | Amorphous Hydrogel Gel (1721 / 1722) | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Pre-formed sterile sheet | Gel in tube — conforms to any shape |
| Sterility | Sterile | Non-sterile |
| Best For | Flat or shallow wounds, burns, abrasions — easy placement over accessible wound surface | Deep wounds, tunneling wounds, cavity wounds, or wounds where tube application is easier |
| Coverage | Uniform sheet coverage — ideal for defined wound footprint | Fills irregular shapes and depths |
| Application | Peel and place — no tools required | Squeeze tube application — can reach difficult areas |
