Nu-Hope Adhesive with Applicator — Natural Rubber Ostomy Adhesive Cement, 2 oz & 4 oz
Stronger hold. Longer wear. Waterproofs while it bonds. Nu-Hope Adhesive is a natural rubber-based, pressure-sensitive ostomy adhesive cement specifically formulated to solve the most common causes of pouching failure — oily skin, perspiration, scar tissue, skin wrinkles, and stomas located in difficult positions. Applied in a single thin film, it dries to a tacky surface within minutes and creates a superior skin bond that extends wear time and improves pouch security. Unlike many adhesive cements, Nu-Hope Adhesive also waterproofs the skin and barrier edge — protecting the skin from urine or effluent exposure when the pouch opening is larger than the stoma, and sealing the perimeter of the barrier against output tracking underneath. Repels effluent without requiring removal and reapplication. Removes easily with warm soap and water or adhesive remover. Available in 2 oz (2401) and 4 oz (2400) bottles with built-in dauber applicator. Contains latex. HCPCS A4364. FSA eligible.
✔ Natural Rubber Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive ✔ Waterproofs Skin & Barrier Edge ✔ Ideal for Oily Skin, Perspiration, Scars & Difficult Stomas ✔ Repels Effluent Without Reapplication ✔ Dauber Applicator — Thin, Even Coverage ✔ Removes With Soap & Water ✔ FSA Eligible
⚠ Important: Nu-Hope Adhesive contains natural rubber latex. Not suitable for patients with latex allergy. Apply only one thin coat — thick applications take hours to dry and can cause skin irritation. Do not apply to broken or denuded skin.

Features & Benefits
- Solves Problem Pouching Situations — Nu-Hope Adhesive was designed around the most common reasons standard barrier adhesion fails: oily skin that prevents wafer bonding, perspiration that undermines adhesive contact, scar tissue and skin wrinkles that create gaps under the wafer, and stomas located in skin folds or poorly positioned areas. A single thin coat of Nu-Hope Adhesive applied to the skin before the barrier provides the additional bond strength that bridges these challenges — turning a difficult pouching situation into a reliable, extended-wear application.
- Waterproofs Skin and Barrier Edge — Nu-Hope Adhesive does something most ostomy adhesive cements do not: it waterproofs the skin surface and the perimeter of the barrier after application. This is particularly important for urostomy patients when the pouch opening is larger than the stoma — the adhesive film protects the exposed skin from urine contact. It also seals the outer edge of the barrier, blocking effluent from tracking under the wafer and contacting peristomal skin from the outside in.
- Repels Effluent Without Reapplication — If output contacts the adhesive film during wear, Nu-Hope Adhesive repels it without breaking down — the seal does not need to be removed and restarted. This durability under contact with bodily fluids is a meaningful clinical advantage for patients with high-output stomas or urostomies.
- Dauber Applicator — One Thin Coat Is All You Need — The built-in dauber applicator controls application volume precisely. Roll the dauber against the inside mouth of the bottle to remove excess before applying — the dauber should look nearly dry. A thin film that creates a sheen on the skin is correct; visible blobs or gummy texture means too much was applied. One coat only — applied correctly and allowed to dry 3–5 minutes — creates a superior bond. More adhesive does not mean more hold.
- Removes With Soap and Water — Unlike solvent-based adhesive cements that require dedicated remover products, Nu-Hope Adhesive cleans up with warm soap and water — or standard adhesive remover for faster removal. This makes it more practical for daily home use and gentler on the skin over the long term.
- Compatible With Nu-Hope Urological Pouches — Nu-Hope Adhesive is specifically compatible with Nu-Hope urinary appliances and can allow the safe reuse of certain Nu-Hope urological pouches — an economical advantage for patients using Nu-Hope urological systems.

| Best For | Waterproofing + adhesion · Oily skin · Perspiration · Difficult stoma placement · Urostomy patients | Maximum raw bond strength · Very active patients · Appliances that need aggressive mechanical hold |
Bottom line: Both are strong latex ostomy adhesive cements. Choose Nu-Hope Adhesive when waterproofing the skin and barrier edge is a priority, when soap-and-water cleanup is preferred, or when one-coat simplicity matters. Choose Torbot Bonding Cement when maximum raw bond strength is the top priority and multi-coat application is acceptable. If you use a Nu-Hope urological system, Nu-Hope Adhesive is the matched product.
How to Use Nu-Hope Adhesive
- Stir the adhesive before use.
- Clean skin with warm water only — no creams, powders, or skin preps unless directed by your ostomy nurse. For oily skin, 70% isopropyl alcohol may be used to remove surface oil first.
- Roll the dauber against the inside mouth of the bottle to remove excess. The dauber should appear nearly dry before applying.
- Apply a single very thin film of adhesive to the skin area around the stoma, starting at the base and circling outward. The skin should look like it has a sheen — not gummy or blobby. One coat only.
- Allow to dry 3–5 minutes. A hair dryer on a cool setting speeds drying. The skin will remain tacky after drying.
- Apply the ostomy appliance or barrier over the dried adhesive and press firmly into place.
- Any adhesive that extends beyond the barrier edge can be dusted with powder or covered with tape to stop tackiness on exposed skin.
Removal: Clean with warm soap and water or use an adhesive remover. Avoid pulling the barrier away without first loosening the adhesive bond — particularly important with the strong skin contact this cement creates.
