What is the difference between the 18Ah standard, 18Ah deep cycle, and 22Ah high rate battery options?

All three battery options are sealed lead acid (SLA) / absorbent glass mat (AGM) batteries — the same chemistry as the original Pride Mobility BATLIQ1000 OEM batteries — and all are spill-proof and maintenance-free. The differences relate to discharge characteristics and capacity. The 18Ah standard (Interstate SLA1116) is the direct OEM-equivalent replacement, matching the original battery specifications in both amp hour capacity and discharge profile. It provides the same range and performance as the scooter delivered when new. The 18Ah deep cycle (Interstate DCM0018) has the same 18Ah capacity but uses a deep cycle design — engineered to sustain a more consistent power output across a longer discharge curve and to withstand repeated deep discharge cycles better than a general-purpose battery. For users who regularly run the battery down substantially before recharging, the deep cycle design maintains better long-term battery health and consistent range over time. The 22Ah high rate (Interstate HSL1125) offers greater capacity at 22Ah — approximately 22% more total energy storage than the 18Ah options — potentially extending the scooter's driving range per charge depending on terrain, rider weight, and speed.
