⚠️ Check These Three Things Before You Order
- Count the pins on your existing connector. The ELEASMB7009 uses a 5-pin connector. Look at the plug where the remote connects to the chair's wiring harness — count the metal pins. If you see 5 pins, this remote will connect. If you see 7, 8, or 10 pins, you need a different remote. This is the single most important compatibility check.
- Confirm your chair is a 3-position model. 3-position chairs have one motor and one control function — lift up/down, recline to one position. If your chair has infinite recline or separate back and footrest controls (two motor chair), this remote is not compatible — you need a 2-motor hand control.
- Confirm your chair brand is Pride Mobility. The ELEASMB7009 is specifically compatible with Pride Mobility lift chairs. Golden Technologies, La-Z-Boy, and other brands use different connector and control standards even when the physical connector appears similar.

Installation — Plug and Play
The ELEASMB7009 is a plug-in replacement — no wiring, no tools, no technical knowledge required in most cases:
- Locate the existing remote connection. Follow the remote cord to where it plugs into the chair's wiring harness — usually accessible at the side or underside of the chair frame, near the motor.
- Unplug the old remote. Grip the connector body firmly and pull straight out. Do not pull the cord — grip the plastic connector. Some connectors have a small locking tab that needs to be depressed while pulling.
- Plug in the new ELEASMB7009. Align the connector and push straight in until it clicks or seats fully. The 5-pin connector is keyed — it only inserts in one orientation.
- Test before securing. Press the up button and confirm the chair begins to rise. Press down and confirm it lowers. If there is no response, check that the connector is fully seated.
- Route the cord. Route the remote cord to a convenient location. Most lift chair models have a cord clip or velcro point on the armrest or frame to keep the remote accessible.
