The Protekt Aire 9900 mattress system by Proactive Medical is a true low air loss system with alternating pressure.The Protekt Aire 9900 is equipped with five distinct auto pressure zones, delivering exceptional multi-zoned alternating pressure therapy. Its advanced control panel continuously tracks the blower's speed to maintain the desired pressure levels. Users can easily modify the settings for alternating pressure therapy duration, pressure intensity, and mode preferences through the LED display. The Max Flow mode allows for quick mattress inflation within 15 to 50 seconds, depending on the mattress size, using a 15-minute timer. Additionally, the upright mode, also known as fowler mode, inflates the mattress to 50% above the set pressure, effectively reducing the risk of patients bottoming out.
This model also offers optional side air bolsters that maintain constant pressure, which can be deflated for easier user access. To safeguard the control panel from unauthorized adjustments, a lockout button is provided, which also secures the power switch. In the event of a power failure, an audiovisual alarm alerts users to low mattress pressure, and there is a convenient alarm silence button to turn off the sound. Furthermore, a quick disconnect gang connector is available for rapid CPR deflation or easy attachment.
The surface of the Protekt Aire 9900 is made of a highly breathable, urethane coated nylon. This top sheet is fluid-proof, low friction and low shear producing, and is extremely vapor permeable. The air cushions are also made of urethane coated nylon to provide exceptional low air loss relief and alternating pressure therapy. All components of the Protekt Aire 9900 are detachable and can be cleaned easily.
