The Transformer is different: it ships as a fully functional hydraulic lift (33400H, HCPCS E0630) — pump to raise, release to lower, no battery, no motor. When care needs evolve and the caregiver needs to remove manual pumping effort from the equation, the Electric Upgrade Kit (LP-33400HE-K) converts the 33400H into the 33400HE — a full battery-powered electric lift (HCPCS E0635) with hand pendant operation. No new lift to buy. No waste of a functioning piece of equipment. The same steel frame serves both power systems.

The 33400HE is the electric version — the same steel frame with a battery pack and hand pendant installed. A caregiver presses a button on the pendant to raise and lower — no pumping required, HCPCS E0635.

How does the Electric Upgrade Kit work — and can any 33400H be upgraded? +
The Electric Upgrade Kit (LP-33400HE-K) is Proactive Medical's purpose-built conversion system for the 33400H. It replaces the hydraulic pump assembly with a battery-powered electric actuator and adds the hand pendant. The installation is designed to be completed by the user or caregiver — no technician required.
Important: The upgrade kit is designed specifically for the Protekt Transformer 33400H. It is not compatible with other hydraulic patient lifts from Proactive Medical or other brands. Only a 33400H can be upgraded to 33400HE using this kit.

What slings are compatible with the Protekt Transformer? +
The Transformer's 6-point spreader bar is compatible with Proactive Medical's full sling lineup, including:
- Standard slings — for general bed-to-chair and chair-to-toilet transfers
- Standard slings with commode opening — for toileting transfers without sling removal
- Full body slings — for patients who require full postural support and cannot sit unsupported
- Full body mesh — for bathing transfers where water drainage through the sling is needed
- Divided leg / U-sling padded — for patients requiring individual leg support or specific lower-extremity positioning
- Divided leg padded with head support — for patients with limited head or neck control
Sling sizing (XS through XL) is based on the patient's height and weight. The correct sling type is determined by the transfer type and the patient's level of function.
