Nearly Me Foam Forms: The Weighted Difference
Nearly Me's weighted foam forms — the #560 Triangle and #550 Classic — are not the same as standard foam forms. The inner silicone core adds realistic weight that helps maintain body symmetry and proper spinal alignment, which matters most for women who wear a form throughout the day. The polyester fabric cover wicks moisture away from the skin, making these forms particularly practical in Florida's heat and humidity. Because the cover doesn't snag or pill, it holds up well through repeated wear and washing. Security tabs on both models allow the form to be pinned or sewn directly into any garment — a bra, nightgown, camisole, or swimsuit — so a dedicated pocket bra isn't required for every situation.
Sizing — Use the Right Chart
Breast form sizing does not correspond to bra cup size. Sizing is based on chest wall measurements taken during a professional fitting. Insurance, Medicare & FSA
Nearly Me breast forms and mastectomy bras are FSA/HSA eligible. Most insurance plans cover external breast prostheses with a physician's prescription. Medicare Part B covers one external breast prosthesis per side every two years and two mastectomy bras per year. Our BOC Certified Fitters can assist with documentation and insurance coordination at any of our five Southwest Florida locations. Call before assuming you're paying out of pocket — you may have benefits available.
