The Golden Comforter PR-535 with MaxiComfort is Golden's most size-complete infinite-position lift chair — available in six configurations from Petite/Small through Large Extra Wide, fitting users from 4'0" to 6'8" with capacity up to 600 lbs. MaxiComfort 2-zone infinite positioning moves the seat and backrest independently for zero-gravity and Trendelenburg positioning. Pocketed coil seat in all standard sizes. Ultra-padded arms and a redesigned split-seam back with a plush center panel that flows down the spine to relieve spinal pressure. Programmable hand control with pre-set TV watching and zero-gravity positions plus two saveable custom positions. What Makes the PR-535 Comforter the Right Chair Across the Full Size Range
MaxiComfort 2-Zone Infinite PositioningThe seat and backrest move independently — raise the footrest while staying upright, recline the back while keeping feet flat, or combine both for zero-gravity with feet at or above heart level. A dedicated Trendelenburg button on the hand control raises feet higher than the head for lower leg swelling relief and improved circulation. Pre-programmed TV watching and zero-gravity positions plus two saveable custom positions on the programmable hand control.
Redesigned Split-Seam BackGolden repositioned the back seams away from load-bearing areas of the spine. A plush center panel runs down the middle of the backrest — the padding naturally forms to the shape of your back rather than pressing flat against it. For patients who spend extended hours in their chair, the difference between a flat back and a contoured one is felt within the first hour.
Pocketed Coil SeatEach spring moves independently to provide consistent, reflective support under every part of the body. Unlike foam seats that compress and sag over time, pocketed coil seating maintains its shape and support year after year. Standard on all Petite/Small, Medium, Large, and Tall sizes.
Ultra-Padded Extended ArmsThe arms are longer than standard lift chair arms and more heavily padded — both features designed specifically for easier entry and exit when the chair is in the lift position. For patients who push off the arms when standing, the extra length means less reaching and the extra padding means more comfortable grip.

Standard sizes (Petite/Small, Medium, Large, Tall) all have 400 lb capacity and pocketed coil seating. Choose based on height: Petite/Small up to 5'5", Medium 5'5"–6'0", Large 5'10"–6'2", Tall 6'2"–6'8". Extra Wide sizes are for users who need a wider seat: Medium Extra Wide has a 27" seat and 500 lb capacity, Large Extra Wide has a 29" seat and 600 lb capacity. Yes. The PR-535 has a dedicated Trendelenburg button on the programmable hand control that raises feet above head and heart level across all sizes. This is distinct from zero-gravity (feet at heart level) and is the position recommended for patients with significant lower leg edema or venous insufficiency.
A pocketed coil seat uses individual springs, each in its own fabric pocket, that move independently under the body. Unlike foam seats that compress and sag, pocketed coil springs return to their original shape every time you stand — maintaining support and appearance over years of daily use. Included in all standard PR-535 sizes.
Standard lift chairs tilt forward as they rise. The Straight Lift option raises the chair straight up without tilting — designed for caregiver-assisted transfers where a tilt makes the transfer more difficult. Both are Golden infinite-position chairs with MaxiComfort positioning, pocketed coil seats, and Trendelenburg capability. The Cloud PR-527 adds Twilight Tilt Technology for a deeper cradle position and has the overstuffed bucket-back that most customers describe as the most comfortable lift chair they have sat in. The PR-535 is the better choice when size range matters — it covers Petite/Small through Large Extra Wide at 600 lbs, a range the Cloud does not. If comfort is the primary driver and size is not an issue, sit in both. If you need a specific size outside the Cloud's range, the PR-535 is the answer.
