Track Arm Design — Arms Stay AccessibleThe EZ Sleeper's track arm is the defining structural difference between the PR-761 and other Golden Twilight chairs. As the chair reclines, the seat bucket shifts down and rearward along the track — keeping the armrests at a consistent height relative to the user's body throughout the full recline range. Most lift chairs move the user away from the arms as they recline, making it harder to push up. The PR-761's arms remain reachable and sturdy at every angle. The arms are also notably wide and solid — a meaningful advantage for users who rely on their arms for stability when standing.
Twilight 5-Zone Positioning + TrendelenburgFive fully independent comfort zones: back recline, footrest, PowerPillow headrest, power lumbar, and Twilight Tilt. Twilight tilts the entire chair from the rear pivot as a dedicated 5th zone — independent of all other recline — creating a cradle position that distributes weight across the full seat surface and relieves spinal muscle fatigue. Combined with MaxiComfort zero-gravity positioning, the PR-761 achieves full Trendelenburg with feet above head level. AutoDrive programmable hand control stores two saveable custom positions.
Roomier Interior DimensionsAt 34" overall width with 22" between arms and 21" seat depth, the PR-761 provides more interior room than the slim-frame PR-764 (33" wide, 22.5" seat width). The modern design gives extra space for the torso and legs — users who found the PR-764's seat bucket tight or who want a more substantial chair presence will typically prefer the PR-761. The tradeoff is wall clearance: the PR-761 needs 24" vs. the PR-764's 21.5".
PowerPillow Headrest StandardThe PowerPillow is Golden's power headrest — it adjusts the neck and head support angle independently of all other positioning zones, forward for reading, neutral for TV, reclined for sleep. On the PR-761 this is included standard, not an upgrade. Combined with independent power lumbar, users can fine-tune head-to-toe support at any recline angle without sitting up or repositioning.
Optional Heat — Two ChoicesTwo separate heat upgrades are available — choose one or neither. Deluxe Heat & Vibrate adds both a heating element and vibration massage throughout the seat and back. HeatWave adds Golden's far-infrared heat technology that penetrates up to three inches into muscle and joint tissue without vibration. No Swedish air massage is available on the PR-761. Both heat options add 30–45 business day lead time.

Both are EZ Sleeper Twilight chairs with the same 5-zone platform, Trendelenburg, power headrest, and power lumbar. The key differences are frame and fit. The PR-764 Slim is 33" wide with a 22.5" seat width and needs only 21.5" of wall clearance — it is designed for rooms where space is tight. The PR-761 is 34" wide with 22" between arms, needs 24" of wall clearance, and has a roomier interior torso and leg space. The PR-764 also adds a pocketed coil seat, Nirvana Swedish Air Massage as an option, and comes in a Medium size only. The PR-761 offers standalone Heat & Vibrate or HeatWave options but no massage. If wall clearance is the priority, the PR-764 wins. If the roomier track-arm frame is preferred, the PR-761 is the right chair.
When a standard lift chair reclines, the seat pivots forward and upward, which moves the user's body away from the armrests. By the time the chair returns to lift position, the user may find the arms in an awkward position relative to where they need to push. The track arm slides the seat bucket rearward during recline so the arms stay at a consistent height and position relative to the user throughout the motion. For patients who use the armrests to push up when the chair lifts — or for caregivers assisting the transfer — this geometry is a meaningful safety and usability improvement.
Deluxe Heat & Vibrate uses a conventional heating element combined with vibration motors in the seat and back — the vibration provides a gentle massage-like effect. HeatWave uses far-infrared heat technology that generates warmth at a wavelength that penetrates deeper into muscle and joint tissue than a conventional heat pad, without vibration. If vibration is therapeutic or soothing for the patient, choose Heat & Vibrate. If the goal is deeper heat penetration for joint or muscle relief without vibration, choose HeatWave.
