The Golden Cloud Plus PR-511 with MaxiComfort is the split-arm infinite-position lift chair that covers the widest range of users in the Golden lineup — four sizes from Small through Medium Extra Wide, with standard 400 lb capacity across the first three and 600 lb capacity on the Extra Wide. The same open-arm design used on the PR-525 Twilight: wireless charging, hand control dock, LED reading light, and butler tray on the right; drink holder, USB, and storage on the left. Four-zone MaxiComfort positioning — back, footrest, power headrest, and power lumbar — with AutoDrive programmable hand control. Optional Nirvana Swedish Air Massage with HeatWave far-infrared heat. The PR-511 does not reach Trendelenburg — feet do not go above head level on this model. If physician-directed Trendelenburg positioning is required, see the Cloud PR-510 or Cloud PR-527. The 600 lb capacity is the Medium Extra Wide only — all other sizes are 400 lb. Footrest extension is not available on the Small. What Makes the Cloud Plus PR-511 the Most Versatile Golden Infinite-Position Chair
4-Zone MaxiComfort PositioningFour independent comfort zones — back, footrest, power headrest, and power lumbar — each controlled separately from the AutoDrive programmable hand control. MaxiComfort zero-gravity positioning reclines the back and raises the footrest simultaneously past horizontal to the full zero-gravity position with feet above the heart. AutoDrive stores two saveable custom positions for one-touch recall. The PR-511 is a 4-zone chair — it does not include the 5th Twilight Tilt zone found on the PR-525 and PR-527.
Split-Arm Convenience SystemThe right arm houses the AutoDrive hand control dock, wireless smartphone charger, and a power port that holds either the included LED reading light or the included butler tray table. The left arm houses a built-in drink holder, USB charging port, and extra storage space. All arm features are integrated into the chair structure — no side table required. The split-arm design allows full use of the armrests even while the tray or light is in use.
Medium Extra Wide — 600 lb Capacity, 29" SeatThe Medium Extra Wide is a distinct size configuration: 29" seat width between arms, 43" overall width, 600 lb capacity, and only 20" of wall clearance — the lowest of all four sizes. It shares the same height range as Medium (5'5"–6'0") but is designed for users who need a wider seat. The 600 lb rating is exclusive to this size — all other PR-511 sizes are rated to 400 lbs. Butler Tray + LED Reading Light Included StandardThe removable butler tray slides into the right arm power port mount and provides a stable flat surface for a tablet, meals, or medications, then stores away when not needed. The flexible LED reading light mounts to the same port for directed light without a floor lamp. Both included standard on all sizes. The full accessory ecosystem — Bluetooth speaker, cooling fan, tablet holder, snack bowl, essential oil diffuser, wine glass holder — is available as optional add-ons.
Optional Nirvana Swedish Air Massage + HeatWaveNirvana uses ten air chambers covering over 500 square inches to apply gentle pressure across the back and lumbar. HeatWave far-infrared heat penetrates up to three inches into muscle and joint tissue. Available bundled as the only heat/massage upgrade on this model — there is no standalone heat pad or separate heat and vibrate option. Available on all four sizes. Adds 30–45 business day lead time.

The key difference is positioning: the PR-525 adds a 5th Twilight Tilt zone that tilts the entire chair from the rear pivot, achieving deeper zero-gravity and Trendelenburg. The PR-511 is a 4-zone MaxiComfort chair without Twilight. The PR-511 also offers a fourth size — Medium Extra Wide with 600 lb capacity — which the PR-525 does not. If Twilight and Trendelenburg positioning are not required and the arm convenience features are the priority, the PR-511 is the lower-cost way to get the same split-arm system.
No. The PR-511 does not achieve Trendelenburg positioning. It reaches zero gravity — feet at or slightly above heart level — but not feet above head. The Medium Extra Wide serves the same height range (5'5"–6'0") but has a 29" seat width vs. 23" on standard Medium, a 43" overall width vs. 37.5", and 600 lb capacity vs. 400 lbs. It also has slightly less wall clearance (20" vs. 22"). The Extra Wide is the right choice when the user's assessment indicates a wider seat is needed for proper fit. Standard lift chairs tilt forward as they rise, requiring the user to lean forward and push up from the lifted position. The Straight Lift option raises the chair straight up instead — the seat remains level throughout the lift motion, allowing a caregiver to assist with transfer directly to a wheelchair, walker, or standing position.
