How to Apply the SenSura One-Piece Drainable Pouch

Measuring and cutting (cut-to-fit versions): Trace the stoma shape on the stoma guide included in the box. Cut to fit the exact size and shape of the stoma — the opening in the barrier should fit snugly around the base without pressing into the stoma. Curved scissors make a cleaner cut. A barrier opening that is too large leaves peristomal skin exposed to output; one that is too small can cause pressure on the stoma.

Skin prep: Clean the skin around the stoma and dry thoroughly. The barrier will not seal correctly on damp skin.

Application: Fold the pouch back so only the adhesive is facing you. Align the opening around the stoma, then press firmly from the bottom upward — smoothing as you go to remove air pockets. The blue or turquoise release tab peels away to expose the adhesive; place your thumb on the white tab for control during application.

Removal: Pull the white removal tab downward to loosen the adhesive from the skin. Roll the barrier off slowly, pressing the skin gently with the opposite hand to reduce pulling. Never peel straight up.

How to Use the EasiClose Wide Outlet

Before wearing — close the outlet first:

1. Lay the pouch flat with the adhesive side down
2. Fold the lower (small) plate over the upper (large) plate
3. Fold the outlet twice until the velour plate is visible
4. Press the Velcro hook ears firmly onto the velour plate to seal

To empty:

1. Lift both Velcro hook ears off the velour plate
2. Unfold the outlet to the position you want for emptying
3. Allow contents to drain while controlling flow with your fingers
4. Wipe the outlet in one movement away from the body using a tissue or dry wipe
5. Fold the small plate back, clean the edge, then re-close
