Description

The Aqua Creek Power EZ2 (F-PEZPL2) is a 400 lb battery-powered pool lift built around a suspended PVC mesh sling seat — the lightest, most portable powered pool lift in the Aqua Creek lineup at just 90 lbs, and the only sling-style lift in the MDS pool lift catalog. The sling seat design sets the Power EZ2 apart from every rigid-seat pool lift: the user sits in a mesh sling suspended from an adjustable chain and hanger bar system rather than transferring to a fixed seat, which means users who cannot transfer independently to a rigid seat may be able to use the Power EZ2 with their existing sling or with caregiver assistance. The battery-powered electric model uses a submersible push-button remote controller that allows the caregiver to remain beside the patient at all times during the lift cycle. 360-degree manual rotation (the electric motor handles vertical lifting; rotation is by hand). Works on in-ground pools, above-ground pools with walls up to 15 inches, and dock-to-boat access. Stainless steel construction with UV-resistant powder coat finish. Portable — easily moved to another pool area or dock. Anchor sold separately (concrete, wood deck, or surface mount options). Optional 4-point hanger system, anchor extension arms, and solar charger available. Custom-made to order — non-returnable once production begins. 5-year structural + 5-year prorated electronics warranty. By Aqua Creek Products.

Residential use — not ADA compliant for commercial pools. The Power EZ2's sling seat design does not meet the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design pool lift seat requirements, which specify a solid seat with specific dimensions. The Power EZ2 is appropriate for residential pools, private docks, and personal use. For commercial pools requiring ADA compliance, see our ADA-certified pool lift collection including the Aqua Creek Mighty and Ranger series and the S.R. Smith Splash! series.
Non-returnable — custom-made to order. Once production begins the order cannot be cancelled. Per FDA regulations this product is non-returnable even if unused. Confirm all specifications before ordering: 866-218-0902.

Sling Seat — What That Means and Who It Serves

Every other pool lift in the MDS catalog uses a rigid molded seat — the user transfers from their wheelchair or standing position onto a fixed seat, the lift lowers them into the pool, and they transfer off the seat into the water. This works well for users who can perform a lateral transfer independently or with minimal assistance.

The Power EZ2 uses a suspended mesh sling instead. The user sits in the sling — which hangs from chains attached to a hanger bar on the lift arm — and the electric motor raises and lowers the sling. This design changes the access equation in two ways:

  • Users who use slings for other transfers — individuals who use ceiling lifts, portable hoists, or other sling-based transfer equipment at home may already own slings compatible with the 4-point hanger option; the Power EZ2 can work with existing sling inventory (confirm compatibility with our team before ordering)
  • Caregiver-assisted transfers into the sling — for users who cannot independently transfer to any seat, a caregiver can assist the user into the mesh sling while it is positioned on the deck, then operate the remote controller while standing beside the patient throughout the entire lift cycle; the remote design specifically allows the caregiver to remain next to the patient rather than operating controls on the lift while the user is suspended

For users who can transfer independently to a rigid seat, a conventional pool lift (Aqua Creek Mighty series, Ranger 2, or S.R. Smith Splash! series) is typically a better fit. The Power EZ2 is the right choice when the sling design provides an access method that rigid-seat lifts do not.

Hanger Bar vs. 4-Point Hanger — Choosing Your Configuration

The Power EZ2 ships standard with a 2-point hanger bar: the sling attaches at two points (one on each side of the hanger bar) and is lowered into the pool. The optional 4-point hanger system provides two additional attachment points:

  • Standard 2-point hanger bar — included; works with the Aqua Creek PVC mesh sling; lower cost; appropriate for most users who can position themselves stably in the sling
  • 4-point hanger system — optional upgrade; four attachment points instead of two; provides a more stable and secure sling position, reduces rocking and lateral movement during the lift cycle; compatible with many standard slings from ceiling lift systems; comes standard when the hard seat option is ordered; recommended for users with limited trunk control or balance
Bringing your own sling? If you have an existing sling from a ceiling lift or transfer system and want to use it with the Power EZ2, the 4-point hanger system is required. Also note: Aqua Creek's PVC mesh slings are specifically designed for pool chemical environments — standard fabric slings from other transfer systems may degrade in chlorinated water. Discuss sling compatibility with our team before ordering: 866-218-0902.

360° Manual Rotation — How It Works

The Power EZ2's vertical lifting (raising and lowering the sling) is powered by the 24V electric motor and controlled by the submersible push-button remote. The rotation — swinging the arm from the deck side to the water side and back — is done manually by the caregiver or user pushing the arm. This is a different approach from the Aqua Creek Mighty series (powered 360° rotation) and the S.R. Smith Splash! series (powered rotation). Manual rotation keeps the unit lighter and simpler, which contributes to the Power EZ2's 90 lb unit weight and portable design. For residential use where a caregiver is typically present, manual rotation is a practical trade-off for lower weight and cost.

Above-Ground Pools and Dock-to-Boat Access

Two applications the Power EZ2 handles that most pool lifts in the catalog do not:

Above-Ground Pools — Up to 15" Walls

The Power EZ2 accommodates above-ground pool walls up to 15 inches above the deck. This is a more limited wall height than the Aqua Creek Neptune (21"–68") or S.R. Smith Splash! Spa (48"), but covers many standard portable and semi-permanent above-ground pools. If your above-ground pool wall is between 15 and 68 inches, the Aqua Creek Neptune is the appropriate lift — call us with your wall height to confirm: 866-218-0902.

Dock-to-Boat Access

The Power EZ2 is explicitly designed for dock-to-boat transfers in addition to pool use — a rare capability in the pool lift category. Aqua Creek confirms dock-to-boat access as a primary use case. The anchor extension arms (available as an option) provide additional setback distance for positioning over a boat gunwale from a dock. For boaters with mobility limitations who need a reliable powered hoist for boarding and disembarking, the Power EZ2 is the right starting point. Call us to discuss dock-to-boat installation specifics: 866-218-0902.

Anchor Options

The Power EZ2 requires an anchor for operation — sold separately. Three deck type options are available:

  • Concrete embedded anchor — standard installation for concrete pool decks; most common residential application
  • Wood deck anchor — for wood-constructed pool decks, dock platforms, and raised deck structures
  • Surface mount anchor — for installations where core drilling is not possible or preferred; mounts on the deck surface

Optional anchor extension arms provide greater setback distance from the anchor point to the pool or boat edge — useful when the standard arm length cannot reach the water entry from the available anchor position. Call us with your pool/dock layout to confirm the right anchor and extension combination: 866-218-0902.

FAQs

Can I use my own sling?

Possibly — but compatibility must be confirmed before ordering. If your sling has 4-point attachment points compatible with the Aqua Creek 4-point hanger system, it may work. Note that standard fabric slings not designed for pool chemical environments (chlorine, saltwater) may degrade quickly; Aqua Creek's PVC mesh slings are pool-rated. Call us before ordering if you plan to use your own sling: 866-218-0902.

Is this ADA compliant for our hotel pool?

No — the Power EZ2's sling design does not meet the 2010 ADA Standards for pool lift seat requirements. For commercial pools requiring ADA compliance, see our ADA-certified lifts: the Ranger 2, Admiral, Mighty 400, Mighty 600, or the S.R. Smith Splash! series.

How does it work for dock-to-boat access?

The Power EZ2 mounts to the dock with the anchor system, and the sling can be positioned to lower a user from the dock level into a boat. Optional anchor extension arms provide additional reach over the boat gunwale. Every dock-to-boat installation has unique geometry — call us with your dock height, boat beam, and gunwale height and we will work through the configuration: 866-218-0902.

Does the caregiver need to be in the water?

No — the submersible push-button remote controller allows the caregiver to stand beside the patient on the pool deck or dock throughout the entire lift cycle. This is the primary operational advantage of the Power EZ2 over manual hoist-style lifts, where the caregiver must operate equipment at a fixed location and cannot remain close to the patient during the transfer.

Can it be returned?

No — the Power EZ2 is custom-made to order and non-returnable once production begins. Confirm all specifications before ordering: anchor type, hanger configuration, and any optional accessories. 866-218-0902.
