Description
The Harmar AL300HD Heavy Duty Fusion Lift is the higher-capacity version of the AL300 Fusion — the same Stars-N-Stripes platform, the same four self-tensioning Q'Straint retractors, the same one-switch fully powered operation, stepped up to a 400 lb lifting capacity for heavier power chairs and scooters that exceed the standard AL300's 350 lb limit. The 26" × 39" adjustable aluminum deck extends to 46" and accommodates wheelbases up to 42" with a maximum device width of 27". No device modifications required. Class III hitch or greater required — a Class III heavy-duty adapter is included standard. 82 lbs installed. Minivans, SUVs, trucks, and vans. Made in the USA.

The AL300HD requires a Class III hitch — Class II is not sufficient for this model. Confirm your vehicle has or can accept a Class III hitch before ordering. The lift accommodates devices up to 400 lbs with a wheelbase up to 42" and a maximum width of 27". Hitch height must be between 5" and 18". The Fusion Platform, Built for Heavier Devices

The HD designation reflects a heavier-duty actuator and motor that delivers the additional torque needed to lift devices up to 400 lbs — accommodating heavy-duty power chairs and larger scooters that push past the standard AL300's 350 lb ceiling. The Class III hitch requirement (vs Class II on the standard AL300) reflects the greater tongue weight demands of a 400 lb device. At 82 lbs installed — just 2 lbs more than the standard AL300 — the HD adds significant capacity with virtually no additional weight penalty to the vehicle's suspension.
Fusion Platform — Power Chairs & Scooters, Same Retractors
Like the standard AL300, the HD uses the Fusion platform design: one lift that carries both power chairs and scooters interchangeably without reconfiguration or device modifications. The four self-tensioning Q'Straint retractors hook to standard frame points on either device type and automatically maintain tension in transit — no manual tightening required. The rear wheel cradle centers and stabilizes the device on the platform. The 26" × 39" adjustable deck extends to 46" to fit a wide range of wheelbase lengths.
